Videos

I have been going through all of Tom’s videos and copying the ones with Rob in them.  It was going well.. most of them made me laugh until today.  A couple of them were just before the MQT shop opened and they were looking at buildings.  It really hurt to watch those so I decided I needed a break from that.  Its a beautiful day so AJ and I are going out to enjoy it.

I promise

As I sit here, I am reminded of how precious Life is, and that we should never take it for granted, for we don’t know what the future holds.

As I sit here, I am reminded of all the fun times we have had.  Then it hits me again that you are truly gone.  All we have left are the memories, and the fun times are gone forever.

When it hits me, it feels like I walked into a brick wall and it seems so fresh.  Every time I see your picture the tears start and my heart fills with pain.  The pain is for Carly and Tad because of what was taken from them, and also for Tom and me because we lost a close friend.

I promise that I will always remember you.  I promise to tell your beautiful boy, Tad, what a wonderful person his father was.  You will live on in our hearts forever.

Rob threw a Frisbee and it landed inside the grill.

More to Come

There is more to come.. including pictures.  For some reason I can’t upload pictures, so Tom will have to look at that.  I”m not going to touch it.  The last time I broke the website… everything  just went poof and the screen was white.

Arvid Jay Saari

Tom and I had a baby boy January 18, 2010 at 1:21 am, he was 7lb 8oz and 19 1/4 inches long.  We named him Arvid Jay Saari, after his Great Grandpa Saari and Grandpa Seppanen.  Tom decided on the first name. I was happy just as long as we had Jay somewhere in his name.  He had a rough start spending the first 2 weeks in the NICU.  He is doing very well now and growing way to fast for my liking.  He is getting more interactive which is fun.

DC/Baltimore Trip

Tom and I went to DC for a little get away… we were only there for three days. On sunday we flew into Reagan National Airport, we met my cousin Erik and his wife Payal there.  Then we started sight seeing.. we started out with the Smithsonian. We didn’t get to see all of the museums… but we did get to see the American History, Natural History and Air and Space museums. At the air and space museum, we saw a short movie called Fighter Pilot in the Imax theater. That was pretty cool, it made me a bit dizzy. It was my first time in an Imax.

From there we went to the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, WWII and Vietnam Memorials. That was enough sight seeing for the day, so went back to Erik and Payal’s for the night.

On Monday, Payal, Tom and I went to the Arlington Cemetery.. we went to the JFK gravesite and to the Tomb of Unknown Soldiers to see the changing of the guard. We had some trouble getting there, because we missed our exit. We were trying to find our way back when we saw a cop. We decided to stop for directions, which were very detailed.

After that we went to Tyson mall, so I could get a dress for Aaron’s wedding. Tom wasn’t too happy about that but it didn’t take too long. I ended up getting 2 dresses.. I couldn’t decided between the two. We went out for dinner that night and did some shoe shopping. :) I had to get shoes to go with the dress.

Tuesday morning Payal gave us a ride to our meeting place with Adam. Adam took us to the Baltimore Aquarium.. we saw a short 4d movie there. Our seats vibrated, we got poked in the back and sprayed with water. I jumped a lot.. it was fun! We also saw a dolphin show there.. it was okay.? They did a lot of talking about polution .. I would have liked it better if there was more of the dolphins. After that we went to see the Star Trek movie, I thought it was good!

Finally it was time for dinner! Tom was waiting for this moment, because we were going to get all you can eat blue crabs. The first place we went to was Gunnings, but they were all out of Crab! We decided to go some where else instead, but it wasn’t all you can eat. I tried eating a crab, but I just couldn’t eat something that was looking back at me. Tom started playing with his food, so we had to get it on camera. After eating, we went to the hotel for the night.

Wednesday morning we flew back home, with no problems! On our way to DC we were delayed out of Msp! (Tom was not happy. He hates Msp airport now) We had to swap aircraft, so we ended up being to hours late.

Sage

Here are some pictures of Sage our yellow lab. Shes a little spoiled but a good girl. I love my dog!

Flagler Beach May 2008

Tom and I went to Florida for his birthday. We had fun and got to do a lot of things. The first day we went to the beach and got beat red. The sun screen didn’t help too much. We also went to Orlando Airport to visit my cousin and his wife. They were on their way back from vacationing in Cancun (I think) and had a 3 hour layover. We met them there and had dinner at Chili’s in the airport. Oh I almost forgot that we went to Ripley’s Believe it or Not! in Orlando. There was some time to kill before going to the airport. We went on a Casino Cruise, which was fun, but we didn’t win anything. They had music, food and drinks for free. There was a Marilyn Monroe impersonator.. she came over to sing to Tom and Uncle Jerry.

We also went to Daytona Beach and played putt putt golf. It was a good time.. I got a hole in one twice! That was the my first time playing putt putt golf. Then it was time to go home. When we returned the rental car, I forgot my purse in the car and I had to run down to get it. I was so worried that I wouldn’t get it back. Well that’s all the exciting points of the trip.

Fun With Old Friends

Kristine was on leave for a few weeks this August. We had some fun times catching up! I miss her already, too bad she couldn’t stay. Sally, Kristine and I got together on Tuesday and made our own fun. We really didn’t do anything but drive around. For some reason we couldn’t stop laughing.. I haven’t laughed that much in a while. :) I miss you Kristine and stay safe!

Red Wings And Blackhawks Game 04/07

Tom, Rob, Carly and I went to a Wings game last year. It was awesome and can’t wait to go to another one. I’m a Red Wings fan and Tom is a Blackhawk fan.

Halloween

This year Carly and I made Halloween cut out cookies… normally thats a Christmas time thing. We frosted them with orange and black frosting. I didn’t take any pictures, because they went fast. I brought a lot of them to work. They didn’t last more than a day there.

We also carved pumpkins this year, except we did it a week and a half before Halloween. Last sunday I tossed them because they had got moldy and were squishy. I had to have pumpkin for Halloween, so I went out and got another. This one turned out better than the first try.

Carly and I got dressed up to pass out some candy. We had about 30 or so kids. There could have been more but we decided to go to Applebees for dinner at 8pm. I was dressed80 style (again I did it last year in MN) and Carly was a dark fairy. Maybe next year I’ll buy a costume.
